세계과학문화포럼이란? (About WSCF?)

2015년 대전에서 개최된 “세계과학정상회의” (OECD 과학기술정상회의와 세계과학기술포럼)의 대전선언의 취지를 구현하고, 과학도시 대전의 위상 제고와 대덕연구개발특구의 활성화를 위한 지속적인 논의의 장으로써, 과학과 사회의 소통, 과학과 문화의 융합을 통하여 과학기술에 대한 국민들의 지지기반을 강화하고, 한국과 미래사회에 영향력이 큰 글로벌 과학이슈를 논의합니다.
The purpose of the forum is to actualize the spirit of the Daejeon Declaration on Science, Technology, and Innovation Policies for the Global and Digital Age of the 2015 World Science Forum (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development [OECD] Ministerial Meeting and the World Science and Technology Development Forum) in Daejeon. It functions as a platform for continuous discussion to elevate the status of Daejeon as a science city and revitalize the Daedeok Innopolis. The forum aims to strengthen public support for science and technology by facilitating communications between science and society and integrating science with culture. In addition, it serves as an avenue for discussing global science issues that affect Korea and future society.
